Here's one of mine. 1987 before the Baylor vs Texas A&M game at Floyd Casey. It was a terrible result. But we were ready for war pre-game.

not from college but never forget how bad we used to be and where the program is now. The Saluki Sacrifice.

Baylor put that 56-12 beatdown on Southern Illinois in 2001 after 8 straight conference losses. The generous attendance figure was 7321 but maybe 950 in the stands total.

one of the few home games I've missed in the last 30 years. And I can't say that I regretted it. That was a ridiculous game to have on the schedule. Make up for the Minnesota game (9/11) right?

So cool how they can colorize black and white photos.

You can literally hear the Def Leppard music screaming out of the background of this picture.

My dad and I were there. I think Karas started and put up some nice numbers...I was young enough to delude myself into thinking that meant something heading into '02. The next game was the bendover by the bay.

Took a 12 pack into the game and slammed it in the first half.

This was my Freshman year... Got my first speeding ticket coming through Corsicana on my way to the game and had my first fender-bender in Malakoff going home after the game! Pretty much summed up the era for me!

By the way, is anyone else concerned about the vapor trail over the stands that makes a 90 degree turn towards the ground?!?

the jumbo shrimpers and regents tried to depict the people who flew a banner for Tom Stanton over the stadium as people trying to tear down Baylor.

I'd say most fans can see the point now..

Hadn't noticed the vapor trail (contrail), but pretty funny comment now that I see it.

My memory of that game was halftime. No bands, no vendors. Nothing.
Of course, there were no "this guy donated a bunch of money, so yay!" ceremonies. Everyone just stood there and shrugged for 20 minutes.

With no bands nor voiceover, the whole thing reminded me of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "The Body". Dead silence.

Yes, this was the replacement for the cancelled Gophers game.

Is there a worse CFB slide to rock bottom than that? I mean given BU won a conference title in 1980 and then slipped to that... well... that's one hell of a slide. SMU I guess but that's a different set of circumstances.

Baylor was very competitive for several years after 1980. Good to very good teams in '83, '85, '86, '91, '92, '94. Decent teams otherwise, no bad teams.

A previously unknown first attempt to fly a "Fire Kevin Steele" banner over Floyd Casey?

And BTW, I was at the "Bend over by the Bay." I wish that debacle had not been mentioned; now I will need twelve more sessions of therapy.

You are blessed indeed. But from about 1972 to 1996, there were some really good times.

You know those awful non-conference games at the beginning of the year that people still go to because they are excited football is back and there is hope and optimism about the season? Well imagine playing one of those games in late November when you already went 0-8 in conference and got slaughtered on almost a weekly basis. That was the result.

It was a day before my 15th birthday though and Baylor got that w, so who am I to complain?

Try sitting in FCS playing Texas or A&M when it's 60-75% Aggie and Longhorn fans. Fun times.

Yes especially in '05 specifically I was sitting in the endzone and there maybe a few Baylor fans compared to thousands of horn fans. It wasn't till '11 we had a decent turnout against them. For some reason we had mildy better turnouts against the ags but they came in droves too.

Was there as well. The Cal LB getting chased down by an OL who then whiffed on the pick six tackle of 100+ yards meant it wasn't a good day.

I remember the bend over by the bay. A Baylor buddy was coming over to listen on the radio. Halftime comes up an,d is still not there. I go out front and he is in his car. His head on the steering wheel. He arrived at kick off and just sat in his car. We just looked at each other and understood

I was at that game. I recall on the aggys first drive their then freshman QB Bucky Richardson obviously fumbled an exchange with their RB (I think it was Darren Lewis, maybe) around mid-field that was immediately recovered by a BU defensive lineman. The refs inexplicably ruled that a whistle had blown the play dead before the fumble and gave the ball back to the ags who then drove in for a TD. I had a sick feeling then it wasn't going to be our day and as it turned out, it wasn't.
