Wait until UT demands unequal distribution in the SEC.

All the other ACC schools should tell Florida State, North Carolina and Clemson to shove it. With the GoR in place through 2036, all the leverage is on their side. And as we learned with Texas (and to a lesser extent, OU), no amount of appeasement will keep these schools in your conference.

The other ACC schools should hold their ground, make their money the next 10-13 years and prepare for a future outside of the P2 in the meantime. There's no reason to give an inch to those schools. What are they going to do and where the hell are they going to go?

That is only 3 votes out of 14 so far. I'm guessing the majority of the conference will never call for this or vote to do this because probably more than half of the conference will end up with the short end of the stick on this. But it does show discord within the conference just like the pre summer of 21 XII.

The ACC is on borrowed time. Everyone has known that for more than a year now. The GoR deal will keep that league together for the next decade-plus, but there's a definite expiration date on it, which makes it all the less prudent to give UNC, FSU and Clemson any special privileges while you wait for the clock to run out.

Seems like the networks goals would be to keep the ACC together due to the smaller payout through 2036.

The opposite of ESPN trying to destabilize the Big 12 enough to disband it when OUT announced their departure. Remember the suggestion for the AAC to take some Big 12 members?

Am I remembering this correctly?

I laugh at FSU AD's comments. The last good thing to come out of FSU was Jameis Winston, and Jimbo has ridden his coattails to a $100 million payday. The implication that the school deserves a a greater share is idiotic.

Whoever signed the 20 year deal back in 2016 should be fired, but that's about as far as any satisfaction they're going to get absent a monetary selttlement to permit an exit.

I agree. Let them leave if they must and regroup. Maybe you can grab Rutgers, WVU and a get a few directional Florida schools.

SEC might offer FSU, Clemson or NC a half share like the Big 10 is offering Oregon and Washington. that's about where they fit in. Of course a half share in the Big 2 is probably more than they make now.

Even if the SEC offers them, they're bound by the grant of rights deal through 2036. They couldn't go anywhere if they wanted to, meaning they have no leverage.

The other schools would be foolish to give an inch.
