Still can't believe we made that 51 yard FG

Me neither. I assumed it had about as much chance as a Hail Mary pass from mid-field and we were about to endure another find a way to lose to TCU gut wrencher. Occasionally miracles happen.

That was a great game, despite not appearing so for most of regulation. We also had a sizable Baylor contingent in the stands. That helped.

Not a miracle
That snapper/holder/ kicker combo was outstanding

Would we have made it had Rhule not called a second timeout and switched kickers?

We need a Mims this season. Guy was a typical Briles receiver very physical and went after the ball. Yards after catch was decent too. Let a DB know he wasnt a push over. Followed in the line of Coleman, Cannon, TW, et al. Glad he stuck around when the poop hit the fan.

I miss the days when we were WRU & expected to have at least one 1,000 yard TD river each year.

It was my pleasure. I was very gratified that Baylor had such a large contingent of fans for the game.

Too bad we couldn't get the W the next week against OU but at least the first half was amazing and we meet up for it in 2021 with a nice big victory.

The coaches conversation on the sideline and with John is a subject we will always remember

We have several "inside sideline stories" that people occasionally will ask John or us.

Would Noah had made it ? we will never know, I obviously hope so. I remember at that game I was sitting next to Noah's mom , that was a crazy conversation

All through his career. Those sideline catches (ie OU 2017 & Texas 2019) we're mind boggling.

I was at this game. I knew we had a chance at the FG, but 50+ yarders always seem to be less than 50% on any level. Very exciting finish for all the BU fans who were there for sure.

Your not far off
The last stat I saw was around 44% @50 yards
50+ as a group was in the 38% range

Me too! It was one of the best games of the year. Beating Iowa State & Texas are certainly at the top of that list too.

Nah - It was just two Baylor couples who bought tickets. We live in Dallas, and they are in Ft Worth, so it is easy. She even got her PhD (wife in other couple) at TCU, but she hates them more than any of us.
