It is interesting that when we hire recent TCU grads to rebrand us and design new unis for us and they do it as boring and ugly, TCU gets all the new bling sent in regularly from Nike. Im not really saying this was all intended. I'm not even saying they intended boring and ugly unis (although I dont see how that wouldnt be the opinion of folks looking at the design before signing off) but TCU has benefitted from what some recent grads of their's are doing with our brand. Let Nike do all the branding again for God's sake. They are the pros.

Basically, that's the same helmet design I wore when I played for the Fightin' Frogs in the Lake Air Pee Wee Football League in 1972 and 1973. It just took TCU 51 years to figure it out.

Really I think the problem is the higher ups are smug. They think there's some prestige that will draw people in which couldn't be further from the truth.

What makes someone great is being unlike everyone else. It's being unique and having your own brand.

Aranda had nothing to do with the unis. Rhule was HC then. But the Baylor version of the blue blood look would be having gold in place of the yellow. I might add the way we use them as combos is not blue blood looking at all. If we always wore yellow/green/yellow at home perhaps the argument of trying to look blue blood if our colors were green and yellow could be made.

If no one told me this was a new helmet, I wouldn't have noticed.

Take one look at our historic record. We are not Alabama or Ohio St.

We have to embrace the up and coming school idea....because that is who we are.

We can never pass for a blue blood football program.

Even Nebraska is having to try new things to appeal to kids who don't remember when they were the fearsome Big Corn

Not Aranda this was a Matt Rhule thing, i.e, the way they did it at Penn State while their turned his head as the other guy molested kids. Now Aranda should set his own mark on Baylor but instead he just ran with the bull**** uniforms
