Appeals court stays injunction granting fifth year of college eligibility to NFL players

The trial court giveth. The appeals court taketh away.

The recent ruling from a federal court in Colorado that opened the door for first-year NFL players to gain a fifth year of college eligibility has been limited by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

What this means for other rulings from other cases remains to be seen. Earlier this week, a Louisiana judge granted a temporary restraining order regarding efforts by former college athletes to return for another season. At least one current NFL player has since entered the transfer portal.

This is ridiculous, they need to make it a rule once you leave to try to go pro you cannot come back, they have similar rules in racing once you go up the ladder you are not permitted to come back down.

To think we could have given Tom Brady a call instead of Lagway. Although he probably would have looked at our offensive line and hung up.

On the bright side. The more this turns into a chaotic **** show the more likely we will get the adults to put the children in time out and make college football equitable competition again.

College Football will have to blow up before it can be fixed. If it can be fixed. Anything that makes that implosion more likely I am tentatively in favor.

The SEC and Big 10 (or BIG) have both announced today that players who have signed NFL contracts will not be allowed on their teams rosters- Seems that Lane Kiffin now at LSU had been preparing to have a couple of players join his roster after being cut by the NFL but this will not happen now.
