This. Associating Nike's downfall with "wokeness" is silly.

I would be absolutely exhausted if I spent as much time thinking about stupid partisan **** as the OP does (and far too many others here and elsewhere do).
It's just a really sad way to go through life IMO.
I could not give two squirts about how Nike -- or most other corporations -- are doing or for what reasons ... political or otherwise.

I just don't like Nike because they bankroll Oregon's athletic dept…with mediocre results mostly.

There is nothing wrong with not buying something because you disagree with the values a company has or the messages they put out- that is not a bad way to go through life at all- it's called having principles.
I understand making personal decisions whether or not to patronize certain businesses based on such value judgments.PapaBear2458 said:
I don't reality want to micro-analyze every company's values, but if there values are blatantly different from mine, I would rather not buy from them.

Nike has made more the $3,000,000,000 in profit every year since 2021...
Including this year which is only 9 months in...
Attributing the stock price to "wOKe" means you don't understand global market and economic dynamics. And you clearly just get tickled way too easily when presented with cherry picked information without including the context and nuance.
It couldn't possibly be because of major divestment from physical product businesses tied to global trade agreements and the risk associated with shipping and energy costs.
Or the fact that major money moves have gone away from those things and into data centric and AI focused investments, which is propping up the entire speculative economy.
Every stock that isnt AI adjacent has been hit bad over the past 5 years.
But yeah, going woke had everything to do with it. What a major high IQ assessment.
