Got almost half an inch in Hidden Valley

Still bone dry where I am, radar lit up all around.

Been watching a little low pressure area spinning on radar in DFW area all day..hoped we might get lucky and catch a late afternoon/evening shower..I'm off Lake Air near Hillcrest..Been raining off and on for a good while..last little shower was heaviest...Amen on "Thank You God"..

Got a little over 1/2" and some hail yesterday in Lamar Co.

I live in Lubbock. What is this "rain" of which you speak?

We live a mile south of 84 as the crow flies. I think we may have gotten 1/10th of an inch. Just enough to make yesterday morning brutally humid.

Completely understand the situation on rainfall..up until 2 Sundays ago, we hadn't had any rain since May..We've been here in the Lake Air/Hillcret area of Waco since early 80's, and it's never been this dry..Trees are in bad shape..even the older oaks..We've been so fortunate to have received some rain these last two Sundays..this last one was almost an inch..Rain was exptremely spotty.. you were blessed if you got a measureable amount..Praying that we see a nice general rain soon..

Still good chance of rain next week with temps in the mid 80s

The 10 day forecast is looking really good for rain and cooler weather!

From your lips to God's ears! Bingo! Several waves of really good rain this morning..Radar looked like it covered a pretty good portion of the area..Hope so anyway! Waiting/Hoping for even more later this evening..

Drove through the heaviest rain I have seen, between I20 and Valley Mills.Visibility was less than 40 yards, couldn't go more than 35 for miles.

I will say, for anyone else who works on campus....the crickets have been out in fullllll force. Good night nurse, the entry into Penland today looked like a moving carpet, they are *everywhere* right now.

The extreme heat seemed to delay their arrival. I remember some years where they have come out in force as early as the last week of August, but usually the 2nd/3rd week of September is peak cricket season.
