My parents live in the Hewitt area and their top load GE washer is leaking water. Doesn't appear to be the hose connections to the machine. Any recommendations for honest, trustworthy repairmen?

Thanks…it seems JMR is pretty booked up. Anybody else?

I was going to recommend them too. Get on the list, you can cancel if you find someone else. They are great.

I've used for washing machine 2 times, dryer and microwave. They will be upfront about when it's time to replace as well.

Yep. JMR is the only one I'd call to be honest.

These things have gotten expensive enough to repair now

Will put them in my rolodex for future reference

It's quite possibly a leaking water pump on the bottom of the unit.

I've use https://appliantology.org/ to get assistance in repairing both my W/D. I keep a Kenmore pair running for 18 years until I finally wanted a new pair.

IIRC one of the requests that this site makes is for individuals search the forums before posting. Many times, the question has already been asked before. Another point is that they require the appliance type, brand, and model number with an accurate description of the issue.

This helps them troubleshoot better.

Call any of the McMullen brothers who work for McMullen Service. They are honest and reputable, and I have previously used them for my GE washer. 254-752-9211. I won't buy an appliance that they won't service as it tells me the other appliances aren't worth a lick.

I have had many bad dealings. Glad you have had good experiences, but I would look elsewhere.

I ran into the same issue with finding a solid local repair service. I ended up going with https://musiccityappliance.services/ after a buddy recommended them, and they came through fast without trying to upsell me on stuff I didn't need. Might be worth a shot if you're still looking.

You're talking about my cousins.. They learned from my uncle who was the best in town. They have tons of customers in town that they've dealt with for years. And you're right about the cheap brands that they won't service. I've heard them say the WalMart/Sams stuff has got the sorriest parts in them but they cost more and they have to go back and keep putting the same parts back in. Makes them look bad because the parts keep failing.
