On Valley Mills, not too far down from Arby's & Poppa Rollos. Not sure if they're going to rebuild or not. The roof caved in about a month or so ago; its been vacant surrounded by a construction fence ever since.

RIP Taco Bueno in Waco

That location will always be Sonic to me. Back in the 70's they still had carhops on roller skates and hung the trays from the driver's window.

It was also the turnaround point for kid's cruising the Valley

It really is. The ingredients and everything are original Taco Bell, before they sold out. Even the color scheme.

That said, Bueno all the way!

I'd be rather surprised if they rebuilt on that parcel, unless there is enough insurance to cover the full cost. There's really not enough land for a fast food restaurant; the way it was built there was barely enough room behind and beside the building for the drive-thru lane.

Went by again today, they actually left the rear portion of the building standing. Not sure what that means, i'm guessing they're going to rebuild the front half and reopen???

i think that is the case, kept the kitchen half of building, probably just a new dining room area rebuild

The commercial collapse insurance wouldnt cover the whole building, (if they had it)

In late 80's I was frequently at the Taco Bueno by campus. Place ruled

Loved the commercials, too
