We have some water damage in two rooms from the flood last night. We were able to start drying it quickly, but I don't know if we were too little too late.

I need somebody who can look at our floors (laminate and carpet) and tell me if we can save them or if they're a lost cause.

Anybody have someone local they would recommend?

That rain was brutal. I'm looking for recommendations for someone to help us deal with flash flooding.

I have a house at grade level, and this was the second time in two years my house flooded. With the rain on the 14th, it overwhelmed the ditches on our road (there's a large field across the street) and a wave a water 6 inches deep comes straight for the front of the house. Realize we need to do some serious landscaping, but not sure who to call or where to start.

No flooding on or around campus.

There has been damage to some businesses along Hewitt Drive.

Baylor, Scott, & White has had to temporarily close its Midway Clinic.

And I'm not sure that KFC is coming back. They have removed all signage and painted the building. (Though I know some KFC's have been undergoing renovation around Texas.)

That creek behind the Baylor Scott & White building has gotten worse with floods since the development of the patio homes on Chapel Road, and the Tanglewood neighborhood on Old McGregor Road. The creeks begin in that area, since that's the highest elevation around.

Stripping the raw trees, tall grass and dirt and replacing it with concrete and roof shingles is sending too much water downstream.

I know detention basins have been put in, but they are obviously not doing enough.

Don't think the cause was flood related but I was driving back to Waco that night from Austin during it and it was pouring could barely see then my car got an error message "Engine Power Reduced". I had to pull over then couldnt get the car started back up.

Got it towed to the dealership and just got the quote back today. 4k... this is killing me. :/

If anyone has flood insurance and any questions/issues, let me know.

If you don't have it, it is often cheap for what you get and worth it.

I was a little off. The creek is behind the shopping center with George's and Wing Stop. It's just a field behind the Scott and White clinic.
