So what happened here?

1. Was he told he wasn't getting the Jakus role so he decided to move on?
2. Did Mack force Drew's hand and tell him he had to shake up his staff and bring in a defensive coach after the marginal defenses of the past two years and 3 consecutive 1st weekend exits?

One of the more generic resignation statements I've ever seen.

Especially since he mentions no one specially by name .such as his boss ..nor his boss' boss ..

He may bounce ideas off of him but Mack doesn't tell Drew what to do. If he runs off Drew like he did Mulkey he may not get out of Waco alive. And I think he is smart enough to know that.
