I'm not quite as dumb as I seem
Maybe its because she is new to the Big 12 and this part of the country during winter but all otherouadguy06 said:
I also have to say that the delays should have affected OU much more, as they were forced to get changed on the bus and rush around to get started. Baylor wasn't forced to do that. I also tend to believe that were the situation reversed most other Baylor fans would agree with me. Fact remains with seven available players on Baylor's roster they still have more talent than OU has, and on paper should have won both games... I think OU has one McDonald's All-American on their roster in Williams, and just a couple other ESPN Top 100 recruits coming out of high school. I just think they are experienced, have great chemistry, and won't give up - that is something BU has at times, but not consistently.
That being said I sure hope Baylor smokes Texas. Both games!!

45 mins delay, starting & stopping, starting & stopping. Did you watch the presser? Nicki explained it very well. Oh, and she also said that's not why BU lost, she said they didn't play good enough. So in fact she doesn't come off as a sore loser at all.
I would agree with this. I suspect the weather forecast had a lot to do with attendance. And without attendance it is tough to create the noise and excitement level that helps the team have a home court advantage. OU lucked out on this from all perspectives, weather and their inability to plan their travel not resulting in a forfeit.Quote:
CNC had a right to be frustrated about it. Now did it cause the loss, no. The real question is how much did OU's delay affect fans in seats vs. the rain/weather in Waco at the time. I have no doubt more butts in seats would have been good for a few points and maybe even a couple makeup calls for the constant no calls.

The delay would have affected OU more then BU. They literally got off the bus and played the game what 20 minutes later? We lost because the defense was garbage yet again. That said the post game interview from CNC indicates will be ready for TX tomm. Bears by 6 tomm night

It does sound that way but I just think she says what she really thinks with little to no coachspeak. She is more unfiltered than what I would have thought. She answers questions like if she was talking to a colleague and not filtering her words for the press.
But it wasn't travel delays; it was a flat out clusterf'ck by the OU staff & coaches not leaving on Tues. They deserve all the heat they are getting on this & then some - and they should have forfeited the game.ouadguy06 said:
Forcing a team to forfeit on account of travel delays is petty
