Results at one school do not necessarily equal results at a different one.

Does Baylor automatically get to the Title Game this year if Kim is still the coach?

That's anyone's guess, but I think it's not as likely.

She's handling things differently at another institution, and one can argue that she is more comfortable there.

That makes a difference in one's performance often times.

Plus, it takes a little bit of luck going your way as well when you don't have the clear-cut best team in the country (and sometimes, even when you do).

As I mentioned in another thread, LSU was an air-balled free throw away from potentially going out in the Sweet 16 this year.

And the 4 opponents they've met from the Sweet 16 up to this point are basically newcomers to the big time (Utah, Miami, VA Tech, Iowa).

But to their credit, LSU has taken advantage of the fortunate circumstances surrounding their success in this year's tournament, and I guess that's all that matters at the end of the day.

Don't count on it. Some people just cannot get over the fact that Mulkey is at LSU instead of Baylor. However it happened & whatever the reasons, it's done. Crying over it will not change or accomplish anything.

Way to Coach classless players. I would much rather win fewer games and be proud of my coach and her players. Angel Reese and Alexis Morris who Kim kicked off her Baylor team both taunted Caitlin Clark during the game and after the game. You can win and still be LOSERS. I prefer to win with a quality coach and teamwin the right way.

Kim Mulkey is a great coach and is in the Hall Of Fame for a reason!! Congrats to her and LSU for a great season and for helping expand the game of women's basketball. These woman athletes are changing what used to be chalk and the top 2 teams in the national championship!! I am excited about the upcoming WNBA season and seeing how this transfer portal works out. Regardless of who you like or don't like the game is improving. I cannot wait to see all Baylor fans next season as we close Ferrel and open the Foster! We have a great team in the works, Keep supporting the game

Caitlin has been taunting teams all season. She was fair game in that regard. What we don't know is what might have been said throughout the game to perpetuate that situation. It is naive to think you might not do the same in the heat of the moment.

Kim is a great coach and proved it today. Congrats to her and LSU. Glad we have the Coach and team we will have next year.

Angel will do very well in the W. Alexis- it is up to her and if she can keep it together. She has the talent. I hope for her sake she does.

I am a Baylor Bear and I love Baylor. Ive been quiet because Ive been conflicted with the unfortunate circumstances of her leaving Baylor. With that said, If Kim Mulkey would have been Nick Saban, Coach K, Coach Cal or any other successful male coach, she would still be at Baylor. Kim has a big personality. You hate her or love her. There is no middle ground. Many men don't accept that type of personality from women, but welcome it from men. The court, the gym and everything else at Baylor should have been named after her. She earned the right to have a seat at the table. She should have retired at Baylor on her own terms. If any of the above mentioned men would have been demanding and assertive, their requests would have been met and more. Kim knew her worth, went back to her home state, got paid more money, gets her nasty oysters that she likes to eat and won another championship. This was for all the women grinding in male dominated industries. Know your worth and act accordingly.
