Where's Chloe? No longer listed as a coach on WBB website. Did I miss something?

She still lists herself as Baylor asst coach on twitter and she was tweeting Jaloni for us as recently as yesterday and Baylorwbb still follows her so it would have to be abrupt and more likely an omission.

I had a feeling something was up when I didn't see her with the team at the BG game or in any of the summer workout videos/pics. She's still posting about recruits so appears to be amicable, if she is in fact no longer with the team. Would hate to lose her as a positive BU advocate and recruiter.

Hope it's an omission

I've been wondering about that, too. I didn't see her in any of the pictures from their trip to the game in Dallas or in the background of any recent pictures/videos on their social media posts. Hopefully it's nothing.

If she is gone then it doesn't come as a surprise.

She never really struck me as a "coach", I believe she is best as a social media influencer for WBB.

It was good at the moment for NC and Baylor, but i think she's learned the college game enough to do just find without Chloe.

Chloe has decided to pursue her influencing career.

So now it's just Nicki and 2 assistants - Tari & Tony? I'm guessing they are actively looking for another coach?
I'm not quite as dumb as I seem

Coaching Staff Limit Expansion
Currently, Men's and Women's basketball staffs can include 3 full-time assistants, a director of basketball operations, and graduate assistants.

The NCAA's new rule in January allows 2 additional assistant coaches for Men's and Women's Basketball, meaning teams can have 5 assistants.
Quote:

"The Council supported an increase of 2 coaches in men's and women's basketball. These additional coaches may engage in coaching activities but may not recruit off campus."
The new coaching limit rule takes effect on July 1, 2023
While these coaches can't recruit off-campus, they can be part of skill instruction, game planning, scouting, and on-campus recruiting.

Baylor WBB Director of Video Operations
&
Sophia Young-Malcolm
Baylor WBB Assistant AD for Player Development
would fill the 2 new allocated slots for Assistant Coach
on July 1, 2023

So glad Sophia is moving up to an asst role! She is a tremendous person and has valuable college and WNBA experience and hopefully her skills will translate well to helping with our forwards-bigs. I think she can be a great recruiter on campus too.

This was an amicable parting of the ways, right?

Yes.
Nicki hated to lose her as a coach but was accepting that Chloe would be happier going back to doing full time what she is known for.

So what exactly did she coach? Seems she was more with PR and media as an influencer than doing anything on the court. In this day and age, I guess recruiting.

Several schools now have someone with knowledge and / or expertise who can facilitate brand awareness as they play within the NIL space. Chloe brought a knowledge to athletes of how to position themselves for the best NIL opportunities. It's an important role, but one that should be repositioned to someone with some experienced in the field. Like social brand managers for celebrities, as the world of NIL grows, so will those with comprisable education and abilities.

Don't be surprised if colleges develop and entirely new major of "Brand Awareness" that falls under Marketing.

I want to say it was after the Alabama game that CNC talked about Chloe and that people got the idea that she was on staff because of her platform and although she does bring that to the table she was a great coach. CNC loved having someone like Chole that helped bridge the gap from an age a generation perspective from the staff to the team. She also mentioned how her primary focus was the guard and wing positions. I want to say Chloe had the guards and wings, Coach Tari had the post players, and Coach Tony was big on the defense. I am happy we had Chloe because it helped our staff get the attention of that top talent very early on. I cannot wait to see what she does in the future!!

But with that being said I wonder who the staff goes to to fill this role. I have a gut feeling we could see someone like Oddesey but she is still in and out of playing. Who do you all think we could look at to fill this? Maybe even a Nina Davis who has been able to do great things at Middle Tennessee.
