Anyone clutching their pearls about the faint specter that someone might have Covid in November 2023 should be taken every bit as seriously as Krusty the Clown.

I can't believe I watched a Steven A. Smith rant recently on ESPN where he called out Angel Reese, questioning whether she was the one who needed to change, or she hasn't changed for the better.
Perhaps she needed to do some due diligence on the coach she'd be playing with and not just the NIL $$. He said Mulkey is Mulkey, what you see is what you get. She ain't changing, she doesn't take ****.

The most successful Women's Basketball Coaches have one strong similar personality quirk, they are strictly "my way or the highway" with their players.

This may be true, but the times they are a changin'. The truly elite WBB players will be able to make 6 or more figures at multiple schools in the future. I suspect this will expedite parity even quicker than before, and will give players more options on the type of coach they want to play for. I doubt players will flock to "Warm and Fuzzies" coaches en masse, but they will certainly be more tempted to abandon a "my way or the highway" coach in favor of one with more sugar than salt. The "my way or the highways" may still be on the top of the mountain for now, but their professional shelf life is coming to an end.

I don't know what official NCAA COVID protocols are now, but they should be extremely lax due to the state of the virus. Immunity from vaccines and prior infections is making it now what many people wanted to pretend it was in the early day, "like the flu."

I'm not sure people are "clutching pearls" over the fact that Mulkey may have had and spread COVID as much as they are recognizing what most sane people recognize, which is that only *******s would make a joke about spreading any kind of illness that could lay people out for days on end.

The writer understands KM very well. Use, abuse, and cast aside anyone who dares cross her epic ego journey. Put my name on the court, build me a statue, build the arena based on where I demand in a public spitting contest with my bosses. Demand constant praise and affirmation, intimidate media members who ask hard questions and write books where the narrative makes anyone who ever crossed you appear as a fool.

And now two, maybe three Tigers down...Kateri Poole " not with team" and Sa'Mayah Smith out for season with serious knee injury. Van Lith questionable. Plot thickens and bench got a lot thinner fast.

Fred and Wombat, no he does not understand Mulkey well. Mulkey has 40 years experience coaching with 5 NC's, what has he accomplished? He is another nobody in the media world whom nobody knows, another podcast no one cares about. "Andscape.com" website? That should tell you it's a nobody podcast. He usually writes stories about race and sensationalizes them so he can get people to talk about him. They're usually not about truth or facts, just wants to increase exposure to his podcast. No one knows who he is and no one cares. So people don't usually give him the time of day.

Why are we starting yet another Mulkey thread and continue to bash our previous coach? There are still too many people on this board hurt/mad she left. I was hoping this would be behind us, and we would be talking about our awesome team and how well they're doing this year. We need to move forward towards the next chapter of BWBB.

In other news , Sammie Wagner finally coming to play at Baylor albeit for the other team, The Ducks of Oregon. Speaking of Ducks, that us one of the least feared mascots ever !

Will give us opportunity to play against bigs before conference-- they have a 6'8" and 6'7".

We were the Purple Pups in Jr. High and I'm not sure that evoked too much fear.

Still more intimidating than the various plants at Ohio State and Stanford.

I don't know, sometimes that Stanford tree looks pretty darn terrifying!

(I have heard that whoever is chosen as "the tree" for that year gets to design their costume. Some years, it is really apparent a "left brain" smart kid with perhaps a bit of right brain creative deficiency got chosen!)

For all those folks who say they don't care about Kim or what happens to her good or bad...why must you bring her up at every turn? I think those who are bitter towards Kim have a far harder time turning loose of her than those of us who liked her. HOF
