Nelms, Jana, Abraham, Bella, DLB and the Freshman RS due to injury are all back. Then you have the incoming Freshman. So if my count is accurate 7

I think so. Tons of production to replace. Having such a light HS incoming recruiting class will hurt a couple of years from now. If Ines and Jana come back reasonably healthy, that will help considerably.

We are also looking at Juco guard.

I like her mobility ! She fights for positioning! Wonder how her injury will heal. Would love to have her though

We have had light HS recruiting (at least in numbers) going back to Kim's last two or three years. Transfers have become the face of both mens and womens teams except for the teams currently considered as Final Four contenders that can still bring in good large classes.

I am hoping we can bring in two-year+ players as the bulk of our portal additions as after next year we lose Buggs, Bella, and Jana to provide some continuity. But you have to work with what is available. I don't even know that if you had a large number of quality freshmen coming in you would be able to keep them these days. Players know they can transfer without restriction if they feel they aren't getting playing time as they think they should. It is just different than it used to be. It is what makes it so difficult to judge most teams as to how they will be next year as their roster could be radically different. Obviously TCU is the poster child for being able to turn things on a dime because of the portal.

Littlepage-Buggs, Abraham, and Fontleroy all staying is a good foundation. Get Walker and Vonleh 5th years, now that's a base to do some damage. However, need a second talented Big or Forward and the team could be better than this year. Hit the recruiting/portal and open up the checkbook for a talented F or C.

Still, I am not sold that Collen is the head coach to take a program to the Final 4 or better.

6-5 center Favour Onoh is an IG mutual of CNC. Currently at a Filipino university.

CNC and Jada Williams are IG mutuals now too.

Glad you keep up with the team so well. Walker and Vonleh do not get a 5th year. Covid players unless because of some type of weird circumstance have now left the building. Sarah was our last.

Sorry to see Jennings leave. I am sure she wants more playing time and she wouldn't start here. She could be.a star at a mid major school.

So we have 7 players right now heading to next season?

7 currently available to be on the roster for next season - there could still more transfers. I would think most people considering entering the portal would do so within the next week or so for competitive reasons. As kids starts signing with schools, schools starting using up their revenue share / NIL / pay for play $ available. The longer you wait to get on the radar the less competition for your services. An all star will always find a way to sign with a team - schools will "stretch" for that player - but a bit lower ranked type player I would think would want the largest opportunity set to pursue a transfer. We will see, but I take each day going by without additional portal entries as a good sign for retention.

Vonleh is gone. So is Walker. All recognized Senior Day.
