Just looked up developmental contract (new in this CBA). Each team gets 2 slots. They don't count against salary cap. Can be activated for up to 12 games.

Given that they drafted 6 players that night (and not to mention other training camp contracts and returners with under the experience maximum), I am glad she has something definite and a chance to develop!
