We lost a lot of winnable games last year due to way too many turnovers at the PG position and not enough offensive help for Taliah in the starting lineup and off the bench. Those two things should definitely be less of an issue this year.

Why OSU? A. Crooks? I love to watch her play, but, if you run a fast pace offense, she has limitations. I think we can beat TCU this year if both teams stay healthy. I like starting out under the radar.

There is certainly reason to be optimistic this year, and even moreso in coming years (assuming these recruits stick with their commitment). I'm hoping we can win a couple of games that we are not predicted to win this year. Outside of the Paris game last year, we haven't done that often under CNC.

I agree with you. I think CNC has always schemed well for neutralizing Crooks. I don't see why that should change. Plus, if KK can match up with her inside and shoot from outside, what does Crooks do?

The Love affair with OSU is baffling.
Yes they have good pieces. No the pieces do not naturally fit together.
Up tempo guards paired with slow tempo wings and posts.
And do not see much to like about their help D. Crooks is the worst help defender in the nation and the backup is a true freshman from Europe (but with elite height).
The roster simply looks like a collection of talent not a purposefully built roster.

Also kyla has been gaurding her for years now she know how too defend her as well, so we definitely have multiple options. If her or mcgill get in foul trouble ever they might be in trouble.

TCU has a definite size advantage over everyone, but I'm not sure they can handle our apparent athleticism.

I agree. We appear to be very athletic and we have more quality depth at the post than we have had in some time. TCU has 6'8" , 6'7" and 6'5" posts. We can counter with 6'5", 6'5" and 6'3" which is more height than we could put on the court last year.

Other than Silva, the supersized bigs at TCU rarely saw the floor last year. Will take a big jump in performance before they worry opponents.

Interestingly, TCU's Portal Magic may be waning. They got a handful of nice complimentary perimeter scorers but no proven Alpha. Hines (the highly rated LSU transfer) clearly wants to be an Alpha, but a 4.2 ppg freshman season isn't eyepopping. Maybe she blossoms with more playing time and in a more player friendly O scheme.

But TCU doesn't have the Alpha interior and Alpha perimeter scorer combos that they have enjoyed the past few years. The dip at Oregon WBB when Hebard and Ionescu graduated and were replaced by a roster full of good but not great players seems like a solid comp.

TCU will likely be better than current preseason ratings but worse than the B12 coaches preseason ranking (2nd). The December matchup in FTW against UT will be a solid showcase on how good the TCU WBB team really is.

I really like how they not putting us in the top 25, and in 3rd for conference. This is gonna make this team want it even more.

Im also really excited for conference play the big 12 is growing talent wise, and theirs more parity. I Really think we're gonna get some of the best games this year.
