Longtime UConn Assistant Coach Shae Ralph moves to Vanderbilt as Head Coach. I've not seen a posting of her replacement at UConn.
Slimecap, get in here and help.
I texted my friend Warren. He actively tracks the Huskies ... I do not. My WBB interest is Baylor and the teams of the Big 12 conference.
I agree with Warren that the UConn job description he showed me was intended to target one specific person. The former head coach that would fit the job description is Gail Goestenkors.
Below is an article dated 17 August 2020. I can see where the possibility of GG's selection could be a win-win fit for both.
"At CMU, Gail Goestenkors replaces her ex-husband who recommended her for the job"https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/2020/08/17/cmu-gail-goestenkors-replaces-her-ex-husband-who-recommended-her-job/3380153001/_______
UPDATESo I checked Warren's GG speculation against the UConn job description this morning and found a flaw. GG played her college basketball at Saginaw Valley State University. SVSU is a Division II school .... not a Division I school. The specification is not written under "Minimum Qualifications"; it is under the label "Preferred Qualifications". Like many job postings, there could be some wiggle room. However, if it was written exactly for one person, this could be a clue.
