Reportedly Sammie Wagner is visiting tomorrow 7/5. Strike up the band! Schedule the fly over! In short, pull out all the stops. Get her back.

Official or unofficial. Anyone know?

Im not sure but I hope Nicki does what she can to reel her back in. I am so ready for some 2022, 2023 commits. Although I love the idea of getting to know recruits early but unofficial for 2025's are so far off that it doesn't excite me.

All of her visits to this point have been unofficial. So I'd say unofficial, but that's just a guess.
Brian could chime in if he knows.

The NCAA permits each student athlete 5 official visits, each to a separate school. However these can only be taken during the student athletes Senior Year in High School. Unofficial visits are unlimited, the difference is on the official visit the host school can pay all the expenses of the student athletes trip. Sammie Waggoner and Maddie Cox have both been to Baylor many times over the past 6 or 7 years. The school can furnish three tickets to a visiting student athlete during each official or unofficial visit or just a quick visit to a sporting event. There are many more rules the school complies with during this process. The current NCAA information on recruiting is on line for your further reading pleasure.

If the NCAA has modified any of the above recently due to COVID reasons I am not aware of the changes.

In the last two years the entire DeSoto girls basketball team has visited several times with their staff. Not unofficial or official.

The former coaching staff has invited many entire teams in the past, sometimes schools without a Baylor prospect , they did it to promote girls basketball state wide.

Don't mean to stir up the masses. But, does anyone else find it puzzling that Sammie Wagner didn't post anything about her BU visit? Now, maybe she didn't take the recruiting pics in BU swag. That's fine, maybe a "Had a nice visit at BU" kinda thing. Sammie is great, just find this a bit curious. Does Baylor not rise to the level of Oregon, USC and Texas anymore? Hmmmm, just a observation.

Hopefully, Allen Samuels will swing by and take her and her folks over to the lot so she can pick which make/model she would like.......

Please don't let yourself be shocked, but that could very likely be the case very very soon. This next season, yes CNC's first, will set the program's trajectory for the next 10. It may not be fair....but it'll be true.

In 3-5 years, many (or most) of these recruiting rules set by the NCAA will no longer exist.

There is a good chance of that happening. When the big TV contracts come up for renewal the Power 5 Conferences may pull out of the NCAA and set there our rules, mostly lack of rules and takeover the Championship Playoffs in football, basketball and all the sports they want to. If your not in a Power 5 Conference your not getting much money, even worse than the current time.

Their whole aau squad came to visit the campus and watch them practice. They also stopped by Texas Tech also. There is no crime in exposing the youth to college.
