What are some of the demands of the 20?
Germaneness rule. Bills must address single subjects. Amendments that include other subjects would be subject to a point of order (no omnibus bills)
Calendar Wednesday , whereby any committee chairman can bring a bill straight to the floor (not subject to Rules Committee vote)
No proxy voting.
No virtual committee meetings.
72-hour rule to give members time to read legislation
A "cut go" rulerequiring any mandatory spending increases be offset with equal or greater mandatory spending cuts.
A three-fifths supermajority vote will be required for tax increases.
I like all of these, but with a closely divided House get ready for grid lock.
