Yes this is real life. Democrats, liberals and leftists are starting to feel sympathy for pedophiles.

Fringe elements of the alt-left are now directly tied to pedophile groups such as NAMBLA. The leftist media along with Sharia Law embracing liberals and some members of the LGBT movement are not only attempting to normalize rape and pedophilia they are pushing to legalize the rape, torture and genital mutilation of children.

Salon has published articles claiming pedophiles aren't monsters. Salon writer Todd Nickerson posted a video justifying his sexual fantasy for a 5-year-old girl, and he said his sexual desires for children are so insatiable that he had to excuse himself to go masturbate while he babysat once.

Incredibly not only does CNN's Chris Cuomo defend perverts on this issue, he tweeted that a 12-year-old girl who doesn't want to see a grown man's ***** must be the problem or her father must be intolerant.

There's a whole movement on-line as well of fringe people in the LGBT community pushing to add "P" for pedophile to the LGBT acronym to normalize child sexual predators. Many of those same people are calling for the legalization of sex with children.

The left has another ******* thing coming if they think they're going to get away with normalizing pedophilia. It's not going to go down like gay marriage. Not with parents, not with normal people.

I'll be dead before this country legally or socially enshrines the abuse of children.

They'll get what they want. They'll have a parade and dems will say "aw, that's beautiful".

Based on what I've read, pedophilia is hard-wired, which is why it's so hard to treat.

I'm comfortable with people making their own decisions about sex as long as they're consenting adults.

Pedophiles who act on their impulses harm innocent children and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and carefully monitored. I worked with a man years ago who targeted teenage girls. With the internet, it was easy for him to find targets. He headed a big department at a company I worked for in the 1980s and traveled often on business. None of us knew what he was doing until the early 2000s, when he was caught in an FBI sting; the "15-year-old girl" he'd been courting on the internet and flown to Chicago to meet was an FBI agent. He did time in prison, but his wife stayed with him. I was him a couple of years ago selling his wares at a craft fair. I gave his booth a wide birth and believe everyone else who know who he was and what he'd done did the same.

Another former colleague had a cache of child porn that was discovered when he took his laptop in for repairs. The shop called him and told him they were going to have to send his computer off for serving and handed it over to police. He lost his job and worked out a deal where he wears an ankle bracelet and is under house arrest.

More people have this problem than we realize. The first priority in dealing with them has to be to ensure they don't victimize children--by using child pornography, initiating online contact or physical abuse. But after that, they're human beings. The "house arrest and ankle bracelet" solution seems like a pretty good one. But I pity these people--at least the ones who know their impulses are wrong and try to control them. There's something wrong with them that makes them a danger to others, and a lot of them can't control it--so the only solution is for them to forfeit a lot of the freedoms the rest of us take for granted.

I don't know anyone who supports pedophilia.

On the old site there was once a thread about how in Australia there was a movement to legalize it.

I don't think there is a movement towards legalizing it here, or accepting it but what I have seen is a shift in thinking in terms of teens with others near their age or in general.

For example, that Tenn teacher that ran away with that 15 year old girl. I have seen several articles and lot, and lots of comments about how at 15 she knew what she was doing, yes it was against the law, but she knew and is just as responsible as him- or along those lines

And that line of thinking seems to be growing and more accepted.

Which to me is not necessarily pedophile- When I hear that term I think of the people who do stuff to 4 year olds and stuff.

Not a 20 year old with a 16 year old or other similar situation. (50 with 15 like above).

Sex with animals will be the issue after it is determined that pedophilia is normal. It's all part of the plan.

Pedophiles are attracted to pre-pubescent children. What you are talking about is statutory rape. While both are wrong, they are not the same.

Didn't you read the Last Picture Show? Where Larry McMurtry describes a bunch of drunk high school boys in rural Texas chasing a blind cow with evil intent?

Not that Larry McMurtry is great literature, but I read his books in the 1970s, and that's how I learned such things actually happened. It was presented as a rural phenomenon, and the Last Picture Show is set smack dab in the middle of the Bible belt.

Trust me, an army of people, possibly with me at their head, will call Child Services and the Humane Society or outright shoot somebody before pervs will be allowed to subject children or animals to rape and sexual abuse. I hate guns and don't want to learn to shoot, but if I were told that was the only way to prevent this sort of abuse, I would buy a gun and take shooting lessons.

All just part of the plan to dumb down Americans slowly but surely
