What is with the Low T being the new buzz wor?

You question an F18 flying over a beach at 50 feet so you are Low T? I guess high T people like being sand blasted?

They are opening a bad Pandora's Box here, I served in the 82nd, keeping roids under control was tough when it was frowned upon, ****, make it a performance metric? ****, they will be mainlining horse steroids.

TRT is a lifetime, once on, you cant get off or it is a long process. Your nuts stop producing, we going to put 30 year olds with low normal pn TRT or worse "bro" roids at the gym because it is cool? Because Petey wants a look? We are setting these guys up for a nightmare.

How many 30 year olds clinically need TRT??? Where are the soldier advocates? This guy Hegseth is a disaster.

You have a frat boy who achieved the rank of major who was a Fox News host running the Department of More War.

We watched the movie Young Washington a few weeks back. I can't tell you how historically accurate the events it portrays are because the French & Indian War isn't something I have spent any time studying in depth. But if the events it portrays are accurate, it poignantly shows why putting a young and inexperienced major in a command above his experience level and expertise can damage the military.

What gets me is, doesn't Hegsesth have more pressing matters to focus on lately, like the war with Iran? Is there not any mature adult in the room who is able to tell these children to shut the fck up, stop peacocking, and just do their jobs??

I really don't understand how even maga conservatives aren't embarrassed by the complete lack of professionalism and discipline coming out of the DoD(W), because it will take years to get corrected when this sad era is over.

The pendulum swings both ways and equally as far.

Soft, liberal propaganda produces an equal effect.

You can thank Don Junior for this one. Same guy who decided JD Vance would be a good running mate.

To put in perspective, to require TRT treatment a Free T under 300. 60-70 year old men have higher than that.

How many soldiers over 30 have the T levels of a 70 year old man?

Talk to a doctor, if you are low T under 40, they want you to undergo testing to find out what is wrong, not put you on TRT.

This is not about low T, this is about sponsored performance enhancement. You guys went ballistic over COVID shots. We are good with requiring Testosterone treatments?

I'm on TRT in my 30s. Been on it for 3 years. I took medication in my 20s that screwed up my hormones. Ended up testing multiple times in the mid to upper 200 ng/dl. Very low free T, single digits. It was considered hypogonadal. I had terrible symptoms: I was lethargic and randomly having panic attacks for no reason. It wasn't like I was out of shape either, I was in pretty damn good shape around 13% BF.

12 weeks of TRT and my symptoms were gone and I had a complete 180. Its been a game changer. The biggest benefit is the increased ability to handle stress.

I get bloods done every 3 months and stay on top of it. I'm in upper end of the normal/natural range now. I've already got children, so infertility doesn't worry me, I could hop on hCG if needed for that. TRT shouldn't be a concern, its people that are blasting test at 3-10X the levels they could naturally get to which makes their estrogen out of control and then they get crazy.

My opinion is don't hop on TRT unless you've tested at least 3 times and are legit hypogonadal with symptoms. You should start getting tested in your mid 30s, especially 40s. Being hypogonadal can actually be a huge threat to your health, both physical and mental. If you're dropping into the 200s...that's a big red flag.

Most guys by the time they're in their 40s are damn near hypogonadal. Average testosterone levels in men have been steadily declining on a population level for several decades. EDCs like phthalates, bisphenols (like BPA), and microplastics mimic or block hormones in the body, that's really the culprit.

The average 35 year old in 1987 had 600 ng/dl. Today its 350 ng/dl! That's pretty insane.

You would be surprised at average T levels these days. Exposure to hormone disruptors has a lot of men under 40 having levels sub 400. Drinking from plastic water bottles and just exposure to plastic in general is a big cause. Clomiphene is an option for men who are young and still want to preserve fertility. If you are over 40 and have a total T around 300 then injections can be the way to go.

If you are under 40, they are looking for another cause like you had. Yours was medically diagnosed. Glad you solved your issue.

Let's talk systematic testing of people for Testosterone, like we do for AIDS. You want your T level common knowledge? On your evaluation reports? Let's go through some scenarios...

You test and it comes back to your unit that you have to re-test (happens all the time with AIDS testing and inoculations), why?

So and so is on the T Board again, what is wrong with that guy? You know last exercise he was sort of indecisive. What was his last PT score?

What's wrong with your Testosterone, you a low T ******? Hey, man that Dude has low T, watch out. You a chick? I ain't taking a shower with that guy.

Ever been in an Infantry Division? Ever served in a Combat Arms unit (IN, AR or ART)? You want your Testosterone to be a subject of discussion? I am not talking the ROTC Officer types. I am talking the guys that go through Jump School with 707 on their helmet. No C for Cadet, No O for officer. Just lower enlisted making $500 a month. Think about it.

But, I know you "real men" wouldn't have that happen to you... Nah, you are a walking hard on, right? You beat up drunks on a friday night after your MMA class... You'll be good...

There is a difference between medical symptom based treatment and the systematic treatment of a population based on a "standard". As you know, many are symptom free.

The issue is not treating those that have a medical condition, it is the systematic treatment without symptoms based on a standard. We looking for more aggression, up the TRT treatments. Do we lower it when they get out the field to cut down on VD?

I am against soldiers being treated like inanimate objects and manipulated to get a result. After the enlistment, them and their family's have to deal with what is left. The VA sure ain't gonna do it. and they will have to fight to even be "service related" issue. Sorry, I don't want Hegseth f-ing with my hormone levels. Sad thing is the age group will not push back, it will be a "cool" thing to have higher T levels

Yeah I think we all know about low T and sperms count. I meant, are we underperforming, is the actual plan to boost performance, or what? And why would this be the best way? Would not takibg volunteers for this, with additional "supersoldier" pay, be a better way? To just announce this out of the blue makes little sense.

More than likely, that has to do with the obesity epidemic. 40% of American men are clinically obese. Adipose tissue converts testosterone into estrogen. Add to that the prevalence of phytoestrogens in our diets and here we are.
