Canada is just demonstrating why its economics is a failed system. Perhaps they should look for some internal reform instead.
If this steps up, and the EU requires concessions that limit Canadian sovereignty, will Alberta go independent? And is "kinda joining" the EU even a reality? Certainly they can up their trade agreements, but would it be long before Canada became a full member, a second-rate citizen compared to the mainland?
At the end of the day, it stinks of desperation, just fix your darn country you socialist slackers.

But the Journal reports that significant obstacles remain, including regulatory differences, questions over Canadian sovereignty and Europe's limited ability to replace the U.S. market.
Carney has argued that the deterioration in U.S.-Canadian relations represents a lasting rupture rather than a temporary disruption. European and Canadian officials are now working to turn the proposed realignment into concrete agreements.
