Effective immediately, the County Democratic Party is formally withdrawing all financial, operational, and organizational support from Shelly Headen's campaign for N.C. House District 62. We will not expend party resources or volunteer efforts on behalf of her candidacy," the county party said.

The North Carolina House Democratic Caucus is also not backing Headen's bid to unseat Republican N.C. Rep. John Blust.

Democrats are not afraid to cut ties with the idiots and extremists in their party. The GOP encourages the idiots and extremists in its party. See Bo French.
