It sounds like us, just without the riots so far. It appears the right and left in France are impossible to bring together. They paint the cities as Woke and the rural as the real France.

As long as I can remember the students from the Sorbonne and the Gendarmes clashed on Friday nights seemingly as entertainment for both sides. This action over the weekend is nothing like those times. Some element turned riots into total and disgusting destruction of businesses and monuments.

This morning the right seems to paint the left and the middle as the problem. Once again immigration has become a flash point in addition to wages, benefits etc.

Thirty-five-hour work weeks, extended vacations, and medical care have not proven to offset the complaint of higher prices and who knows what else.

Iran has Trump by his pu**y and no way they will let go

You're not paying attention. I've already posted that the radicals hiding under way left are responsible for most riots. That's why it was so shocking to see Tom, Dick and Jane smashing into the halls of Congress.

I readily agree you never see this type of violence from the right. That's what made it stunning.

"January 6" has become such a sacred cow to the Left that it must always be made out to be much bigger than it actually was ... like many issues, the Left's treatment of it has made more more numb to its reality.

- What do Democrats continue to blatantly lie about it?
- What did the Democrats refuse to release all the footage
- Why did the Stalin Show Trial committee delete all of its correspondence and notes

That does not happen if you're dealing in reality.

The reason we cannot really unite is the Left has gotten so extreme and so anit-Western. When one side wants to tear down the country, it is tough to find common ground.

Rather than destroying people's private businesses, they targeted a federal building on Jan 6th... which was the absolute correct course of action bcs those are the people with all the power.

As an aside, this should be a reminder to thank God once again that the '24 election turned out the way it did - otherwise by now we'd probably be seeing this kind of thing in cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, etc. in addition to Paris, France.

On topic, I think it's clear that it is largely a left wing riot. France took too many migrants in, more than they could support. So now wages are down, opportunity is down, and they are not safe.

There is a healthy dose of all things. Exceed it and you find out why it's unhealthy.
