you missed my point: who decides who is normal who is not. The OP is about normal, not about definition of normal. Definition of normal for people is rather complex.

For most people the definition of normal is pretty obvious. For others, a dictionary will suffice. In terms of modern politics, normal Americans want what is best for the country: peace, prosperity, security, etc. In America, those things are also good for individuals & families.
