The kids get so excited at football games when Mo Bamba comes over the speakers. Curious, I looked it up. At the risk of sounding like a Puritan, that song is filth. I know they'll play a "clean" version, but clean versions only point listeners to the "dirty" version.
So imagine my surprise when Baylor SANCTIONS a sorority for posting a short video of themselves singing along to this garbage!

I am stunned at the hypocrisy. If they are so appalled, if the song doesn't reflect the values of the university why does the university pump it out of the speakers at major sporting events! I am not and never have been a Pi Phi, but I wish they would push back against the university for these sanctions. Cancel the spring social and force them to a cultural awareness reeducation session? This is nuts.
The only silver lining I see is that maybe whoever selects the music for sporting events will stop playing offensive filth like Mo Bamba.
