Apparently you can still type in the image tags ourselves instead of using the buttons. I always found it a lot simpler, especially when posting a number of photos in a thread with game shots and stuff. Then I could just copy and paste the whole link with tags and just change the end line of link.

Looks like this site uses the same image tags. Just type [ IMG ] on the front end, without the spaces (spaces included here otherwise it wouldn't show as text), then [ /IMG ] at the end of the image URL.

Apparently, it doesn't work in signatures, where I guess images are not permitted.

I'm not sure about videos. Normally I would use the tag VIDEO in brackets in front with /VIDEO in brackets at the end of the URL. But I tried last night and it worked, but the tags were visible as text.

So apparently, you can just past a youtube link with no tags and it will show up just fine. It may not work with other streaming video services but it looks like this software is set up to display Youtubes automatically, and probably a few others.

Pecos, I doubt you'll see this added, as this is way almost all sites work these days. BFans was a very rare exception from my experience...a lot of is due to storage space required to host everyone's images.

imgur.com is one of the more common sites you can post pics on, but there are probably many others. You do have to create an account to do so, however.
