Big Bear Brawl Observations (6/17)
Left the house around 10amAmy beat me to the event. Bought her a Snickers to make up for it.It was hot, damn hot, the breeze was like a furnace, we were glad it moved to the Indoor facility. The AC wasn't on or didn't feel like it.Met David Wetzel while talking with lettermen Tracy Miller, Chris George, Herb Barritt, and Robin Jones. David knew our site and was great to talk with, as were Tracy, Chris, Herb, and Robin. Over 140 OL and over 120 DL were there. OL broke out in lines of 10 and have 14.5 lines. DL had 15-20 per group and had 7 groups running drills. There were less of the young kids there, but a few were mixed in.We all timed Robin Jones' son Myles in the 40 and were within .03, .06, and .08 on our phone stopwatches, officially 4.81 (Amy 4.78/Brian 4.87/Nadia Jones 4.89) Robin says he ran 4.75 in college, Tracy disagreed.Myles is a young 6-1 2019 that looked good at DE, but Mike Siravo pulled him from drills and took him outside and worked individually with him at LB. Myles has athleticism and build to play if he doesn't grow as big as his dad.Isreal Isuman-Hundley looks like a freak, runs like a freak, and is going to be a freak in HS and then college. He will blow up. Baylor was first and that is huge for his family and mother. He went to KSU last weekend as his dad played there, but might be too far from home.We did a video interview with Isreal and he was a joy to be around.Andrew Coker has changed his body and moved better. He still needs to work on conditioning, but he's getting there. We have a video interview with him.Braedon Mowry has a great frame and the Baylor coaches ran him inside and outside and we caught up with him for a video interview.T'Vondre Sweat is a 2019 offer and he might grow into a DT. Big frame, on a visit to all of campus today and was there for over 8 hours and still there when we left.#430 in black was a great DE for 2018 and Amy has the name.#621 in white tore it up at DT and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get major attention for 2019.Jermarques Bailey, 2020 OL of Cedar Hill is massive and moves well. Video interview of him coming. Watch for a possible offer coming.Preston Wilson of Argyle has a chance to be good at OL for 2019. Kenny Arthur has been holding out on me or in Jost Van Dyke the past year.Branson Bragg got plenty of attention from the staff. DeLeone had the bullhorn over him cheering him on in one on one competition and he performed well.Starting to have a mancrush on DeLeone. That old man is great. He's surly, but funny. A perfectionist that doesn't let up.#522 in white was a 2019 OT in the making at 6-7+ 280ish and scratching the surface.Blake Lodes of Lake Ridge looked good and then tweaked his shoulder and faded. He's one to watch for 2018.A 2018 OL and DL got into a little shoving match for high hands to the face of the DL and the OL smirked as he walked off about his nasty/dirty play and DeLeone sort of loved it. Robinson liked it as well and slapped the kid on the butt with a smile. Those two are going to get some results.Josh Cochran is going to be good as a coach in a few years.Matt Rhule addressed the camp and told the OL if they didn't run under 5.3 they wouldn't be recruited. He told them to put down the video games and go run. Move. Get outside and move. Play basketball. Play racquetball. Play something. He wants OL that can broadjump 8'6He wants DTs that can run 5.0 and underDTs need to borad jump 9'DEs need to run 4.6ishNeeds to jump 9'6 (#430 went almost 11')Baylor is looking for tough, physical competitorsThey had a 185lb bench press competition during the hour break and it wasn't about how strong they were. It was about how much they would push and compete."If you're an OL or DL and you don't love to lift, you don't love football." - Matt Rhule"Thank your parents, thank your coaches, thank anyone that has supported you as they have sacrificed for you to be here." - Matt RhuleYep, definitely a mancrush on DeLeoneGot home around 8:45Ate Taco Bueno, don't @ me. Amy had Panera Bread. I win.Back on the road tomorrow

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
