JJ Joe: Defensive Performance vs BYU

Defensively, we did some great things.  One, we shut down BYU’s rushing attack (67 yards and that included a 56 yard run by Jaren Hall their QB on a 4th and 1 play for a TD).  We got 5 sacks, a fumble recovery by Pitre and we limited BYU to only 17 points until Puka Nucua made a great catch on 3rd and 10 with 2 minutes left.  Our defense did give up some long pass plays.  We need to tighten that up going forward.
