BREAKING: Baylor lands '24 CB Aeryn Hampton over Texas, OSU, TCU

On Wednesday Baylor landed a commitment from 2024 cornerback Aeryn Hampton‍ out of Daingerfield, Texas. Hampton is Baylor’s first commitment of the 2024 recruiting class.

Hampton (5-10, 175), who received an offer from the Bears in November, committed to Baylor over offers from  TCU, Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma State and UTSA. Hampton made the announcement on his Instagram account.

“First off, I wanna thank God for blessing me with this opportunity to play at the next level. Second, I wanna thank my mom, my family and friends for believing in me and trusting me on and off the field. Lastly, I want thank Coach Nelson and my other coaches for helping me through his process. I know it’s a little early in my recruitment process but I feel like this the place I want to be. With the being said I will be committing to…. BAYLOR UNIVERSITY.”

Do seniors this year get the option for another year due to Covid-19? We also have a couple of six year seniors, so would the "Covid" year apply to them, or is six the max you can have??????

We've had a great DB out of Daingerfield as well.
I worked near Daingerfield for a while. One of my coworkers played with Thomas in high school.
