
Jordan Lewis Named Big 12 Player of the Week
WACO, Texas – Baylor’s Jordan Lewis was named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. It marked the first career Big 12 award for Lewis, a graduate transfer from Alabama.
The 5-foot-7 guard had a triple-double against West Virginia on Saturday, the seventh in Baylor history and the first in a Big 12 game since 2017, as she put up 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Per HerHoopStats, she is only the second player to have at least 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in a Big 12 game, joining Shalee Lehning (Kansas State, 2009).
In Baylor’s road win at Texas Tech, Lewis had 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor. For the week, Lewis averaged 13 points, 6.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and a block.
