BU SP3: RHP Will Rigney (0-0, 4.20 ERA)

TCU SP3: Brett Walker (2-0, 3.33 ERA)

Quick Side Notes

  • TCU has maintained the same weekend starters all season, however, this past weekend series against Army, they rotated Cornelio to Friday, Walker to Saturday, and Krob to Sunday. I am not certain if that is a permanent change moving forward or a temporary change due to weather, injury, illness, etc. I tallied the projected starters as what they have done the majority of the season.
  • Former TCU head coach, Jim Schlossnagle, took a job to be the head coach at Texas A&M this past summer after 18 years at TCU. Kirk Saarloos was promoted to head coach to replace Schlossnagle. Saarloos has been the pitching coach at TCU since 2012. This is Saarloos’ first official season as a head coach.
  • As for Baylor pitching, Jake Jackson is still the probable Saturday starter. I would imagine Jackson is on a shorter leash moving forward and Will Rigney has the potential to become the Saturday guy. If anything is officially changed, I will update this and let everyone know as soon as possible.
  • Also, I know there was some confusion in regards to the records under the name of the coaches. For example, the career record is the total amount of wins and losses Coach Rodriguez has recorded at Pepperdine and Baylor combined. The bottom record is Coach Rod’s total record from 2016-current at Baylor. TCU’s Coach Saarloos has the same career record as his record at TCU because this is his first official head coaching gig.
  • Lastly, the official RPI from D1 Baseball is scheduled to be released on March 18th. I will include the official RPI stats starting next week.
