This past Monday, it was announced that Steve Rodriguez was stepping down from his position as head baseball coach at Baylor after seven seasons. During his tenure, Rodriguez compiled a 197-146 overall record while going 67-75 in Big 12 play. After making the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive years from 2017-to-2019, the Bears were unable to find their way back in 2021 and 2022. The momentum in the program had been lost, and it was time for a change.
