Cisco Caston is a redshirt freshman safety from Weatherford, Texas. Caston is a fluid athlete with a great frame at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds. He should have three years of eligibility remaining and will be competing for a safety spot in Fall Camp. While at BU, he is majoring in business and made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2021.

Our own Travis Roeder is high on the redshirt freshman, saying, “Caston has the size, athleticism, and athletic background necessary to succeed as a Baylor safety. Whether he succeeds will be based on how reliable he is over the top in coverage and whether he can become a better enforcer as a tackler.”

At Weatherford High School, Caston tallied 71 tackles, two TFLs, one forced fumble, and three interceptions as a senior. He also played on offense, totaling 473 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns as both a running back and wide receiver. He posted 80 tackles as a junior and 63 tackles as a sophomore. He earned a three-star rating and was the No. 81 player in Texas in the class of 2021. Caston was the No. 4 safety in Texas, according to Dave Campbell, and he picked Baylor over Arkansas, Florida, and Florida State. He made his debut against Texas Southern in 2021 but redshirted the remainder of the season.

Jonah Burton is a redshirt freshman wide receiver from Simi Valley, California. He should have three years of eligibility remaining past this season, and BU’s website has him listed at 5-foot-11, 203 pounds. While at Baylor, he is majoring in business and made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the fall of 2021.

As a team captain during his senior year at Simi Valley High School, Burton totaled 16 receptions for 337 yards and a touchdown in only five games. He was honored with the 2021 National Bowl All-American MVP, First Team All-Ventura County, and First Team All-League. As a junior, Burton led his team to an 11-4 record and an appearance in the CIF Southern Section Championship Game in 2019. Burton committed to Baylor as a preferred-walk on in the class of 2021 and redshirted this past season.
