A couple of weeks ago I talked to Baylor defensive coordinator Ron Roberts. Among the different topics we discussed — including why he’s so high on Matt Jones as an inside linebacker — was how tough inside linebacker is to recruit and what he looks for in a high school inside backer.

And this is an important position to get correct. The toughest position in the Aranda/Roberts defense is inside linebacker.
