In the Web: What "They" are saying about Baylor in Week 9
The Bears got a much-needed bounce-back victory over Kansas last week for homecoming, despite trying to hand the Jayhawks a win. While Baylor dominated Kansas to start the game, turnovers and a lack of effort at times allowed the Jayhawks to swing the momentum.
Once again freshman running back Richard Reese shined, as he rushed for 186 yards and 2TD on 31 carries. His performance garnered attention from PFF and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.
Baylor will need another big performance from Reese on Saturday night, as they head to Lubbock to face a Texas Tech team that is undefeated at home this season. The Bears have struggled in Lubbock for quite some time, and the atmosphere this weekend won’t make coming home to Waco with a win any easier.
When the opening lines were released this week, Baylor sat at -1. However, as the week progressed the line flipped to Texas Tech -2 according to Circa Sports in Las Vegas.
