Attacking Oklahoma — A First Year Defense Trying to Grow Out of First Year Mistakes

OU is a first-year defense learning a very complicated scheme. If Baylor had played them early in the year they could’ve rolled on their way to 45+ without breaking a sweat. Now, OU is improving but still showing a lot of first-year flaws. Of course, they have talent but it’s been a struggle for them to put it all together in a system that is near the philosophical opposite of what former OU defensive coordinator Alex Grinch was doing.
