Except for the receiver and running back positions, I don't think there is anything to build off of. The talent is just not there for the other positions. And don't be surprised if there are receivers and running backs who will jump into the portal in the next few days.

The ball is in the court of ADMR.

Other than the inbound Arky transfer what gives you confidence in the WR position? Literally the least talented WR lineup in the last 15 years in my opinion.

I've been around this program for a long time. I've never been prouder of a Head Coach. I know we want winning and on field excellence...that is a given, and that mark was missed in 2022. But the humility, transparency and desire to raise up men that Aranda has is truly special. I am all in on Dave and would encourage others to do the same. He is brilliant and you can see him processing, learning, re-calculating, etc. game by game and year by year... I think he gets it figured out sooner than later offensively and we return to perennial Big 12 championship and CFP level play in the near future.

As for Doyle...my goodness what an impressive ambassador for the program. Give me 100 more of him all day. He needs to return to help the program in a staff position after he pursues other on-field professional ambitions.

Jury is still out on CDA and next year will be pivotal for his future. In regards to Doyle he has the heart of a lion and is a tremendous ambassador but to think that he has an NFL future is just not supported by fact. His lack of speed at a critical position shown through on many occasions this year.

I agree with 1bear about Aranda as a person. I disagree that he is a good HC. He's a low energy, introverted, Defensive Technician, standing as a frowning statue on the sideline who has little motivational and team leadership skills, and he struggles to get his players ready to play at a high level. Last year , his flaws were covered up by an historic D that had already been great as leaders in 2019, and with the excitement, motivation and leadership of Joey who finished with a better record than Aranda in his first year at TT. His management of the QB's has been atrocious with his latest failure on Friday night at AN's house. Drones will more than likely be the starter for Va Tech, who made him their #1 target for '23 out of a 29 player class. Aranda is being paid $ Millions to learn on the job. Mack decided against a proven P5 HC. The mental toughness of Baylor football is now in question under Aranda, as is Baylor's 2023 season. But, all may be well. We will see.

Aranda beat Joey head-to-head on Joey's home field; playing Shapen at QB.

That was a great game. Unfortunately, there are 12. Aranda has been coaching on P5 teams for over 20 years, and he's been at Baylor for 3 seasons. He's also making literal $Millions. He must be realistically evaluated. Warts and all.

My thoughts exactly. Our high stars look mediocre at best. Cameron #34 is the only one in the group that looks like he spent time in the weight room

Agree 100%. I love to see the Bears win, and I hate to see them lose. But I will always support a coach who teaches our athletes to become men as the higher priority. In years past, I would have said winning and growing up men were not mutually exclusive. But with the current portal and NIL, it has become a challenge. I think Aranda is smart enough to figure things out without compromise.

Not meant to be a slight at you, but these guys do have parents. Don't think they need their coach to help them be men. This type of comment is always so overrated

Going into this year, we had an inexperienced quarterback, inexperienced receivers, inexperienced running backs, along with inexperienced secondary outside of Morgan. Also a defense adjusting to not having Pitre and Bernard. That is a lot to overcome. We've had 2 good recruiting classes in a row along with these young guys getting older and experienced. We will be fine and CDA is a great coach and person, we are lucky to have him. Given time he will be like Scott Drew.

You point out all of the positives in regards to Aranda but fail to address the negatives, specifically the dreadful handling of the QB position over the last year. CDA is good for now however doubt has keeps in.
