Baylor lands transfer cornerback Isaiah Dunson from Miami

Following his official visit to Baylor over the weekend, former Miami Hurricane cornerback Isaiah Dunson (6-1, 186) gave his commitment to Baylor. 

The former four-star prospect played in 20 games for the Hurricanes in three seasons and will have two years of eligblity remaining. 

The 2020 prospect out of Tucker High School in Georgia was rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals and rated the No. 21 cornerback nationwide in 247Sports Composite Rankings. Dunson scored 10 touchdowns on offense and recorded three interceptions during final season at Tucker Named to all-county team by Atlanta Journal-Constitution for DeKalb County in final seasom

Originally chose Miami over offers from Florida State, Louisville, Nebraska, South Carolina and Texas, among others.

Guy who had *checks notes* zero tackles last year. Nice!!

EDIT: is he literally getting burned in the picture they used to announce his transfer? Ooooofff you really couldn't have found any other picture?

Hate to sound negative but I was really hoping we would try to go after somebody with more experience. Oh well… hopefully the staff knows what they are doing. He's got the size at 6-1 for sure.

He could be covering a punt. Either way, it's stupid to judge a player on one still photo -- or one anything for that matter.

Players like Dunson constitute roughly half the players in the portal.

If it's not a FCS/G5 star looking for a bigger platform or a grad transfer looking for a big NIL payday, chances are it's going to be an unproven P5 player looking for better opportunity at more playing time.

Some of those guys will work out, some won't. But those are the types of players we'll get getting a lot of because we're not getting the big-money guys.
