Baylor’s depth at cornerback took a hit Monday evening when news surfaced that former cornerback-turned-STAR AJ McCarty was entering the transfer portal. SicEm365 insiders learned that McCarty was dismissed from the program after going through spring at the new position. 

Along with seventh-year senior Bryson Jackson, McCarty was viewed as a potential replacement for 2022 starting STAR Al Walcott who replaced 2021 starter and current NFL star Jalen Pitre.
