Ten Things Vs. Texas

Baylor welcomes Texas to McLane Stadium for currently the last time as conference mates and here are at least ten things from the game.

  1. The tailgate was huge and fun. It was also hot, hot, hot and I’m a bad teammate.
  2. Defense looks to have some energy in the first drive and then old habits of not setting an edge returns. Texas leads. If this doesn’t improve, the game will get out of hand.
  3. A solid drive ends in points, but the OL is getting worked on several plays and needs to get their base set and avoid the penalties.
  4. You don’t set the edge, you get beat to the end zone, again. It’s the same thing we’ve all seen all year.
  5. The OL needs to see another change
  6. The defense is getting whipped on the edge. Just not the level of play needed to win.
  7. This team needs to figure out which players want to play all the time instead of which ones try to turn it on and off.
  8. The offensive line has one good play and then...
  9. Safety play is not good 
  10. Soul searching for this team shouldn’t need to be stated, but here we are again

Was nice to see RJ. He can put it on a rope. Certainly not a quarterback's fault when receivers drop balls that hit their hands. Or turn their back to the play in the end zone. Hopefully Aranda saw the positive. Shapin and Sawyer don't make those targets.

Maybe. I'll work on my spelling. Shapen how's that? He can't/won't win but that is no excuse for poor spelling.

Phone really wants to auto correct to Shaper or Shaped or Shaded. Smart phone plus not smart operator is my problem.

Will season tickets for next year be cheaper? At least gives us a partial refund and Aranda and staff should fund the refund.

I have a feeling there will be more empty seats next year than filled seats. Who wants to watch a bunch of rag knots 3 years in a row and that includes the staff.

They may have been planning a price increase for next year, but given the faceplant so far this year expect prices to be the same. The difference will be that next year we will likely have only 6 home games (unless we replace @Utah with a home noncon game) in stead of 8.
