WACO, Texas – Baylor football redshirt junior wide receiver Josh Cameron has been named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-America Fourth Team as a punt returner, as announced by the publication.

Cameron ranked second in the Big 12 in 2023 with 15.5 yards per punt return, after returning 13 punts for a total of 201 yards. The native of Cedar Park, Texas, broke off a season-long 70-yard return at Kansas State on Nov. 11, the third-longest return in the league last season. He had five returns of at least 16 yards and did not lose a fumble in his first season as BU’s return man.

Also a second-team preseason All-Big 12 selection, Cameron picks up his second-career honor as a punt returner after being named to the 2023 All-Big 12 Second Team by Phil Steele.

Joining Cameron on the Phil Steele Preseason All-Big 12 teams are Richard Reese (First Team, Kick Returner), Matt Jones (Second Team, Linebacker), Monaray Baldwin (Fourth Team, Wide Receiver), Alvin Ebosele (Fourth Team, Offensive Tackle) and Caden Jenkins (Fourth Team, Cornerback).
