Great interview. I love Smoaky and his work, but I appreciate the way CNC firmly, but gently dismantled the premise that the trans issue is about "men in women's sports."

Completely disagree...it is that simple. Biological men should not and now are no longer (never should have been) allowed to compete in women's sports OR be in their locker rooms. You can be sensitive to the underrepresented and still be for the obvious. If men, who think they are women, did not have such a distinct advantage over women in sports, they would not engage. When they (biological men pretending to be women) competed as men, they did not do well. When they competed in the women's divisions, they cleaned up. You never see a biological woman who thinks they're a man try and compete in men's leagues because they are still women and would get demolished. There is definitely a right answer to Smoaky's question, and she did not give it.

I believe most of what you wrote is wrong, but a sports message board isn't the best place to have a fruitful conversation about this, so I'll leave most of it alone.

This quote, however, is verifiably wrong. Look up Mack Beggs. He's the trans man (you would call "biologically female)) who everyone was all up in arms about because he was demolishing girls in high school wrestling matches. The problem is that he petitioned the UIL numerous times to compete with the boys, but was denied.

Thank you 66 for your common sense comment. Softball coach Glenn Moore or our volleyball coach would have no difficulty giving a straight answer to this question. If Nicki needs political cover the NCAA gave it to her by acknowledging the national regulation that bans biological men in women's sports.
Let's hope that the BU President or BU AD has not advised coaches to waffle on this question.
Let's hope that
