WACO, Texas — Baylor Football has declined an invitation to a bowl game, a spokesperson for the program said Sunday. The Bears were an option for the Birmingham Bowl, per On3’s Brett McMurphy.

I'm sorry. Was there a blueprint of success that was presented to the press in the past 2 weeks ??

You validate your roster before Spring practice- of those players who intend to stay with the program.

Maybe we didn't have enough players. Maybe the school is dead broke and can't support the added costs. Maybe this is just another way of letting everyone know that Baylor isn't serious about football and so when the next conference realignment happens - no need to include Baylor in the mix.

They already told at least some players there is no place for them next year. Our best players like trigg wouldn't want to play on this game. Just wouldn't work.

There would have been ridicule for accepting, and then for the poor turnout and then the inevitable loss. I'm not even convinced they could've filled it a full team for it. Probably the best move.
