Baylor senior guard Kristy Wallace tears ACL, out for postseason
Baylor senior guard Kristy Wallace will miss the postseason with a torn ACL according to head coach Kim Mulkey on Thursday during a press conference. Wallace was injured in the first half of Baylor's final regular season contest against West Virginia earlier this week.
Wallace was named All-Big 12 First team and Big 12 All-Defensive Team selections by the conference on Wednesday. She leads the Lady Bears, is second in the league and 34th nationally, distributing 5.5 assists per game. She also averaged 12.9 points and 5.0 rebounds on the season.
Wallace is one of three Lady Bears to distribute more than 500 assists in her career and joined the 1,000-career points club with 15 points at Oklahoma. She currently ranks 24th all-time at Baylor with 1,212 career points.
Baylor will open postseason play in the Big 12 tournament as the No. 1-overall seed.
