The Jayhawk defense is coordinated by Clint Bowen who has been running their defense ever since 2012 and he stayed on when Beatty was hired.  He also was a former Jayhawk player, longtime assistant for KU under Mark Mangino, and even the interim head coach in 2014.  He's done a good job relative to his talent each year in Lawrence.

SCHEME

Kansas bases out of a 4-3 defense but has a hybrid nickelback player instead of a strongside linebacker as you see.
