The early signing period allows a large percentage of focus to shift to winter workouts and spring practice is viewed in different light as significant new pieces to the roster are now definites. The Bears hope to add additional instant playmakers during the late signing period or as transfers in the summer, but nine early enrollees means the Bears are set to go through 15 additional practices with nearly a full deck.
