Confirmed: Rhule will stay at Baylor, not take HC position with Jets
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Baylor head coach Matt Rhule will stay at Baylor and not take the position with the New York Jets of the NFL. Rhule has been tied to the coaching vacancy for the last several days.
SicEm365 has now confirmed Rapoport’s report.
Rhule has spent the previous two seasons in Waco as the head coach of the Bears, combining for an 8-17 overall record including a 7-6 record in 2018 with a victory over Vanderbilt in the Texas Bowl.
After recording a 1-11 record during his first season in Waco, Rhule led the Bears to six wins in the regular season, making the program one of the most improved in the country in a single year.
